Investigation of the composition of Pinus peuce needle oil by GC-MS and GC-GC-MS
Needles of two 5-yr-old Macedonian pine (Pinus peuce) trees growing in Germany were separated from freshly cut twigs and needle extracts were collected using a Likens-Nickerson simultaneous distillation-solvent extraction device. The components of the essential oil were identified by the retention times obtained on two columns differing in polarity and by GC-MS.
