Investigation of the effect of the malarial drug dabekhin on the haemostatic system and anticoagulant effect of heparin

, : Investigation of the effect of the malarial drug dabekhin on the haemostatic system and anticoagulant effect of heparin. Farmakologiya i Toksikologiya 53(1): 59-62

The effect of dabekhin (an antimalarial synthesized in Russia in 1968) on blood coagulation was investigated in a series of experiments. In vitro, dabequine delayed blood coagulation time, plasma recalcification time and thrombin time, and showed a dose-related neutralizing effect on heparin; association of dabequine and heparin reduced the specific activity of the anticoagulant.
