Investigation of the esterase systems of insects

, : Investigation of the esterase systems of insects. Agrokhimiya ( 10): 117-123

In tests involving 3 populations of the Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata), 2 from Russia with comparable susceptibility to insecticides were also alike in esterase activity. Details are given of the toxicity of some pyrethroids and chlorophos to the 3 populations and red cockroaches In larvae and adults of L. decemlineata, there were at least 3 zones with acetylcholinesterase activity, as demonstrated by electrophoresis.
