, : Investigation of the forces in the bindings of bundles of flotsam logs. Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Lesnoi Zhurnal ( 4): 130-131

Laboratory studies (scale 1:10) were made on bundles of salvaged flotsam logs, i.e. representing logs of various lengths (7.5-26 m) found floating loose on the surface of reservoirs in Siberia. The forces occurring in the bindings of such bundles were studied and a formula was derived for calculating the rupture force.
