, : Investigation of the influence of various factors on the gyroscopic reactions of bearings. Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Lesnoi Zhurnal ( 4): 71-74

A theoretical and experimental investigation is made of the influence of gyroscopic effects on the nature of the vibrations of the milling head of a chipper-canter, and also the gyroscopic reactions of the bearings caused by dynamic imbalance of the milling head. The study shows that the magnitude of the gyroscopic reactions is affected by the moments of inertia of the milling head and the relations between them.
