, : Investigation on in vitro micropropagation of carnation (Dianthus sp.) through meristem culture techniques. Doga, Turk Tarm ve Ormanclk Dergisi 16(3): 641-648

Carnation shoot tip meristems (1-2 mm) were cultured on MS medium supplemented with different auxin, cytokinin and gibberellic acid combinations. Meristems cultured on MS medium containing 5.0 mg BA + 1.0 mg IAA/litre produced more axillary buds than other growth regulator combinations. Shoots cultured on MS medium containing 2.0 mg NAA + 0.1 mg IAA/litre showed better root development than those on other media.
