The case of a 55-year-old man with tropical pulmonary eosinophilia (peripheral blood smears were negative for microfilariae but the ELISA for antibodies against the excretory-secretory antigen of Wuchereria bancrofti was positive at a dilution of 1 in 300), who was allergic to diethylcarbamazine but who was successfully treated with a combination of oral mebendazole and oral levamisole, is reported from Bombay, Maharashtra, India.
