Milk and meat supply response in the goat sector
The purpose of this paper is to quantify some of the fundamental economic relationships within the Greek goat sector and to answer questions referring to the relationship between the quantity of goat products offered for sale and their prices, the herd structure and the product supply response, the pressure exerted on prices from an over-production of goat products, and the impact of increasing costs on the structure of the herds and on producers' incomes.
