Contents and effects of a new Danish law, a new Directive and 2 agreements, all dated 1992, are examined. Controls undertaken by MLK units will be extended to cover manufacturing milk, dairy herds, milk products and all firms manufacturing milk products. Milk collected daily within 2 h of milking must be refrigerated to <=6 degrees C and milk not collected daily to <=4 degrees C within 3 h of milking.
