Mineral nutrition of chickpeas

Mineral nutrition of chickpeas

Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 28(6): 657-664

N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S were each omitted in a complete fertilizer trial in a greenhouse to evaluate the effect of nutrient omission on growth, composition and nutritional status of Cicer arietinum IAC-Marrocos, grown in Mitscherlich vases containing 6 kg of silica. Nutrient uptake and translocation were also studied in the field in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1988. The results showed that omission of any macronutrient decreased plant growth. Ca omission affected the uptake of the other nutrients.
