Mineral uptake by spring wheat depending on fertilizer application and chlormequat treatment



Izvestiya Timiryazevskoi Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Akademii ( 3): 14-21



Uptake of N, P, K, Ca and Mg by field-grown spring wheat Moskovskaya 35 and Belorusskaya 80 was measured in 1987 and 1988. Plots were given no fertilizers, 60 kg each of N, P2O5 and K2O, or NPK to achieve planned yields of 5-7 t/ha. Chlorocholine chloride was applied at the end of vegetative growth at a rate of 3 kg/ha. Data for the leaf, stem and spike contents of the elements are given for up to 6 growth stages.
