Nutritional conditions of cultures in greenhouses in Thessaly (Greece)

In greenhouse tomato and cucumber trials, the N, P and K contents and salinity of soil samples taken before and during the growth of the crop were analysed. Leaf samples were also taken during crop growth and their mineral composition was analysed. The greenhouse soils had high salinities and high Ca and Mg concentrations. It was found that at salinities >0.2%, the soil N concentration was usually satisfactory for crop growth.
