The parasitization of castor semilooper, Achaea janata Linn, by Microplitis maculipennis was consistently higher in the month of September and October during 1985 and 1986. The highest parasitization in both the years was 68.16 and 77.31 per cent. The castor semilooper caused 19.58 per cent loss in seed of castor.
