Abstract
Brief descriptions are given of 2 varieties available in Germany for public planting to cover large expanses: Pearl Meidiland and Bingo Meidiland. Both were bred in 1991 and are resistant to important diseases such as powdery mildew [caused by Sphaerotheca]. They grow to a height of 50-60 cm and have an overhanging growth habit. Bingo Meidiland has pink and Pearl Meidiland mainly white (but in some cases pastel pink) flowers.
