Physiological-genetic basis for predicting time of heading and controlling formation of recombinant lines of wheat with desired early ripening

Physiological-genetic basis for predicting time of heading and controlling formation of recombinant lines of wheat with desired early ripening

Doklady Biological Sciences 326(1-6): 415-418

The stages of plant development were studied in hybrids from the bread wheat crosses AFI-M1 x Leningradka and AFI-M1 x Svena 59433 and durum wheat crosses Svetlana x K56324 and Svetlana x Tibetka, and their parents. The duration of the emergence to tillering and tillering to heading phases appeared to be controlled by different genes (a conclusion supported by analysis of data from the third and subsequent generations).
