Production of new triticale genotypes with good technological qualities
In breeding for improved bread-making quality, 5 varieties of bread wheat (selected for good technological qualities on the basis of particular high molecular weight subunits of glutenin) were crossed with 3 varieties of diploid rye. The hybrid embryos were cultured in vitro to give 24 plants, from which 83 were derived by cloning.
