Productivity of a cereal-grass rotation depending on tillage, liming and mineral fertilizers
A field trial on medium-textured dernopodzolic loam soil in 1972-86 compared 6 cultivation methods (mouldboard ploughing, no-tillage, surface cultivation, rotary cultivation, blade cultivation and a combination of ploughing and no-tillage) for a rotation of grass-legume mixture/winter wheat/oats/barley; from 1983 oats were replaced by winter wheat. All variants were treated with herbicides. Lime or dolomite was applied according to soil hydrolytic acidity in 1973 and 1981.
