Productivity of sunflowers under systematic application of fertilizers in a crop rotation on leached chernozem in the central chernozem zone

The effects of fertilizer treatments on sunflower seed yield and quality were studied in the 1st (1976, 1978-79) and 2nd (1986, 1988-89) cycles of a 10-course rotation in the Voronezh region. Treatments included no fertilizers, 14 t FYM/ha, 60 kg N, P or K/ha and combinations of 60-120 kg N + 30-120 kg P + 60-120 kg K/ha. The highest seed yield, oil content and seed quality were obtained with 60 kg N + 45-60 kg P + 60 kg K/ha.
