Comparisons between 2 Spanish isolates of tomato spotted wilt tospovirus found in Capsicum plants from the Canary Islands and Almeria showed that they were similar in host range and serological relationships but distinct in purification behaviour, RNA component composition and ultrastructural cytopathology.
