Registration of KS92WGRC21 and KS92WGRC22 hard red winter wheat germplasms resistant to wheat spindle-streak mosaic virus, wheat soilborne mosaic virus, and powdery mildew

Registration of KS92WGRC21 and KS92WGRC22 hard red winter wheat germplasms resistant to wheat spindle-streak mosaic virus, wheat soilborne mosaic virus, and powdery mildew

Crop Science 34(2): 546

Released in 1992, these two Triticum aestivum germplasms (PI566670 and PI566671, respectively) are BC2F2-derived lines with respective pedigrees of TAM200*3/TA2570 and Century*3/TA2567, the two TA accessions being closely related to T. tauschii from Armenia. The germplasms were highly resistant to a combined infection of wheat spindle streak mosaic bymovirus and wheat soilborne mosaic furovirus in head rows when planted at 2 sites in Kansas.
