Analysing life performances, individual lactation performances within groups of differing lactation numbers were related to overall performance and the value of the 1st lactation in predicting the number of the productive cycle was investigated. From the results, the following biological and economic conclusions were drawn. In the trial, overall performances of Holstein or high-rate bred Holstein cows were evaluated.
