, : Relation of IL-2, IL-3 and IL-4 with allergic asthma induced by spores of mushroom (Pleurotus sapidus). Biomedical and Environmental Sciences 6(3): 281-285

The effects of IL-2, IL-3 and IL-4 activities on the occurrence of allergic asthma induced by P. sapidus spores were investigated. IL-2, IL-3 and IL-4 activities in culture supernatants of spleen lymphocytes from guineapigs stimulated with Con A were measured. IL-4 activity in the culture supernatant was higher than control group (14.9+or-0.18 vs. 6.7+or-1.5 u). IL-2 and IL-3 activities were similar to that of the control group. IL-4 synthesis was similarly increased as IL-4 activity.
