The correlation between lipoprotein (a) (Lp(a)) concentrations, the presence of coronary heart disease (CHD) and the degree of atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries was assessed by duplex scan in 91 adult patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) due to LDL receptor defect.
