Relationship among Rhizoctonia bataticola isolates in rice-based cropping systems based on colony fusion types
Dry root rot, caused by Macrophomina phaseolina, is one of the most serious diseases of chickpea in Myanmar. Colony compatibility tests were carried out with 37 isolates of the fungus from diseased chickpea plants at different locations and 2 isolates from other hosts. The results indicated the possible occurrence of more than one type of isolate in a field and the existence of closely related isolates at different places.
