Relationship between actual evapo-transpiration rate and soil-water content under different evaporative conditions
Experiments with Sesame (Sesamum indicum) in a vertisol at Parbhani, India, to study variations in evapotranspiration with changes in available soil water content show that evaporation rate decreases in a convex manner with decrease in soil water content, and that at low evaporative demands evapotranspiration proceeds at the potential rate over the entire range available.
