Relationship between esterase isozymograms and fertility of hybrids from rice cultivar 02428 and indica and japonica rice
Esterase isozyme patterns were analysed in the parents and 50 F1 hybrids from crosses between the wide-compatibility variety 02428 and 49 indica and japonica varieties with good agronomic characters. Seven zymograms were identified in the 49 indica and japonica varieties, with a single zymogram accounting for about 66% of varieties. Seeding rate of the F1 hybrids ranged from 15.3 to 96.1%.
