, : Relationship between nitrogen and chlorophyll content and spectral properties in maize leaves. European Journal of Agronomy 2(2): 113-117

Field grown maize Valeria was given 0, 150 or 300 kg N/ha and the relationships between leaf N concentration, chlorophyll concentration, and reflectance (R), absorbance (A) and transmittance (T) in a spectral band ranging from 400 to 1100 nm were studied on leaves growing at 2 different positions on the stem. Spectral R and T of leaves were determined in vivo using a hand-held spectroradiometer.
