Relationship between soil organic carbon and Landsat TM data in eastern Washington

, : Relationship between soil organic carbon and Landsat TM data in eastern Washington. PEandRS, Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing 60(6): 777-781

Analysis of digital data from Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) images was proposed as a complementary method for estimating surface organic carbon levels in soils. A relationship was established between soil organic carbon (SOC) and a selected transformation of TM band ratios corresponding to soil component values in eastern Washington State, USA. TM and SOC data were obtained and evaluated using linear regression methods at 4 field sites.
