Relationship between sowing time, harvesting time and head rice yield in irrigated rice cultivars

Cultivars IAC4440, Pesagro 104 and CNA3771, all adapted for cultivation under flood irrigation, were sown 4 times during 4 October-9 December 1988 in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Harvesting took place at 5 day intervals from 25 days to 55 days after flowering. There were varietal differences regarding the potential for whole grain production. According to an analysis of the production of whole grains or broken grains and grain processing income, IAC4440 was the best cultivar.
