Relative resistance and histopathology in inbred mice infected with Trypanosoma brucei brucei

Relative resistance and histopathology in inbred mice infected with Trypanosoma brucei brucei

Revue de Medecine Veterinaire 144(3): 191-196

The pathological changes observed in lymph nodes, spleen, liver, heart and in the kidney of inbred mice infected experimentally with T. brucei are described. The common feature of tissue damage was a change in the tissue architecture due to a mononuclear cell infiltration (plasma cells, lymphocytes and macrophages) and the proportion and phenotype expression of the lymphocytes.
