In a field experiment on sandy loam during the rainy seasons of 1988-89 at Kalyani, West Bengal, groundnuts JL 24, ICGS 11, SBX 1, TG 24 and TGS 2 were given 0, 40 or 80 kg P2O5/ha as superphosphate. Pod yields increased with increasing P rate. ICGS II given 80 kg P2O5 gave the highest pod yield of 2.38 t/ha.
