Twelve-year-old trees (cv. Chanee) were sprayed with a foliar fertilizer (0-52-34 NPK), a mixture of glucose + humic acid (G + H), or 250 or 500 p.p.m. Cultar (paclobutrazol). The trees were sprayed from week 3 after anthesis to week 12 at weekly intervals. G + H gave a 54% increase in total harvestable yield over the untreated controls. Increases of 29 and 24% over controls were obtained with 0-52-34 NPK and Cultar treatments, respectively.
