Study of biliary secretion in trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) by cannulation of bile duct



Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology A, Comparative Physiology 104(3): 525-529



A surgical procedure for collecting bile directly from the biliary duct of conscious trout is described. This method, allowing for the removal of any "interference" caused by the gallbladder walls, is particularly suitable for study of the physiology of the hepatic gland in fish.
