, : Study of the rural share-holding economy in Guangdong Province. Chinese Rural Economy ( 7): 40-44

This paper first discusses three reasons why various rural shareholding firms have emerged in Guangdong Province, China. Firstly, the shareholding economy is an objective requirement for developing the rural production force and commodity economy. Secondly, further rural reform needs the stock system. Thirdly, the shareholding system is the choice of the masses who have learned lessons from cooperation in the past. Forms and operating methods of the shareholding firms are then described.
