Study on landforms and soils of Krishna-Godavari Delta using remote sensing

Agropedology 2: 25-35

Composite Landsat-MSS false colour images, correlated with field data, were used in the Krishna-Godavari Delta of Andhra Pradesh, India to establish spatial distributions of delta, sea and coastal land systems and landforms. Major soil formations are coast sand (Psamments), deltaic alluvium (Fluvents, Aquents, Aquepts, Usterts), red loamy soils (Ustalfs), black soils (Usterts) and saline-sodic soils (Orthids, Ustalfs).
