Study on the bionomics and control of Phyllonorycter sp

Study on the bionomics and control of Phyllonorycter sp

Plant Protection 19(2): 21-22

Studies showed that the gracillariid Phyllonorycter sp. commonly occurred in the Chinese bayberry growing area in Zhejiang, China, and caused leaf fall and branch dieback. It had one generation/year and overwintered in the bulliform cysts of leaves. In spring, it continued to feed on the leaf mesophyll. The mature larvae spun silks and pupated in the bulliform cysts of leaves. The adults emerged in early and middle May.
