Survey of seed-borne viruses in lentil in Syria and their effects on lentil yield

A survey of seedborne viruses of lentil was conducted in 161 fields in the northern, southern, central, northeastern and coastal regions of Syria during the 1990/91, 1991/92 and 1992/93 cropping seasons. ELISA tests of seedlings collected from each field revealed the presence of pea seed-borne mosaic potyvirus (PSbMV) in 0.6% of samples collected from southern Governates.
