Abstract
The growth rate of Holstein X German Black Pied steers with 75 or 87.5% Holstein inheritance did not differ significantly from that of Lithuanian Pied (LBP) steers. The dressing percentage and meat percentage of the carcass were higher in LBPs than in crossbreds by 2.81 and 2.38 resp.
