The molecular basis for somatic embryo development in carrot

The molecular basis for somatic embryo development in carrot

Acta Horticulturae ( 336): 217-224

The ability to generate embryos in cell culture, through the process of somatic embryogenesis, is considered to be an attractive model system for identifying genes expressed during early embryogenesis. However, progress has been relatively slow and successes have been fragmentary.
