The use of GnRH analogue for the treatment of ovarian inactivity in cows and buffaloes

, : The use of GnRH analogue for the treatment of ovarian inactivity in cows and buffaloes. Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal 29(57): 235-240

The GnRH-analogue Fertagyl was used to treat 5 Jersey cows and 5 buffaloes that had a long acyclic post-partum period. Each cow was given 250 micro g of GnRH analogue and each buffalo cow was given 500 micro g of the drug i.m. as a single dose. Four cows and 2 buffaloes exhibited oestrus 72 hours after treatment.
