The use of Wald's successive alternative analysis for the differential diagnosis of trichinellosis and leptospirosis in the early phase of the disease

, : The use of Wald's successive alternative analysis for the differential diagnosis of trichinellosis and leptospirosis in the early phase of the disease. Meditsinskaya Parazitologiya i Parazitarnye Bolezni ( 5-6): 21-23

Epidemiological data and the frequency of some clinical and laboratory indicators on days 1-2 of the disease were compared in 26 patients with trichinelliasis and 68 patients with leptospirosis. After statistical processing 11 indicators differing significantly between the 2 groups of patients were selected. Symptoms such as generalized myalgia, pain in calf muscles, conjunctivitis and dyspepsia had no significance for differentiating the two diseases.
