The use of fertilizers in long term stationary trials on the Moldavian plain. 2. Influence of phosphorus rate on the yield and chemical composition of grain and the coefficient of fertilizer utilization
Yields and chemical composition of grain and straw of wheat in 1981-87 as part of a long term trial with 0-100 kg N, 0-60 kg K and 0-100 kg P fertilizer started in 1962 and grown in the Iassy area on a typical chernozem are given. Grain and straw N, P and K contents were strongly influenced by climatic conditions and applied NPK. In the very dry year of 1983 compared with other years, the largest quantities of N and K accumulated in the grain and N, P and K in the straw.
