The use of gonadorelin in estrus synchronization programmes in buffaloes for artificial insemination: preliminary investigation

, : The use of gonadorelin in estrus synchronization programmes in buffaloes for artificial insemination: preliminary investigation. Indian Journal of Dairy Science 45(1): 1-2

12 buffaloes were given injections of 500 micro g cloprostenol. All animals were in oestrus within 72 h of injection. Nine of these animals with good follicle development and uterine contractility were chosen by rectal palpation, given an intramuscular injection of 100 micro g gonadorelin (a GnRH analogue) immediately after oestrus detection and inseminated 10 h later.
