The use of imagery by rowers

, : The use of imagery by rowers. International Journal of Sport Psychology 23(3): 243-261

The use of mental imagery by rowers was assessed by administering the Imagery Use Questionnaire (IUQ) to 348 rowers at high school, college and national team levels in Canada and the USA. Most rowers reported using imagery and indicated that they also had been exposed to and used other mental training techniques. The use of imagery was most intense just prior to competition.

Four protein fractions, i.e. albumins, globulins, gliadins, and glutenins, were used as biochemical markers for the evaluation of polymorphism among T. spelta cultivars (Hercule, Altgold, and Rouquin) and inbred lines (H92.27, H92.28, and M92.20)....

When Paramecium calkinsi encounter hyperosmotic stress, intracellular free alanine increases. In vivo assays indicate that the reaction catalyzed by alanine aminotransferase contributes to the build up of alanine in response to hyperosmotic shock....

In order to discover novel immunomodulators for application in treating autoimmune diseases, a stable Jurkat transfectant was constructed in which luciferase reporter gene is driven by a full-length IL-2 promotor. A chemical library was screened t...

In the search for individual mRNA coding for particular zein proteins, polysomal RNA was isolated from the endosperm of 22-days post-pollination maize [Zea mays] kernels. This RNA was enriched for poly(rA)-containing RNA and then submitted to prep...
