The use of rapid, specific immunoassay-based field test for assessing soil contamination by petroleum fuels

, : The use of rapid, specific immunoassay-based field test for assessing soil contamination by petroleum fuels. Hydrocarbon contaminated soils and groundwater, volume 4: analysis, fate, environmental and ic health effects, and remediation: 181-186

After considering immunoassay technology and its application in the field, it is concluded that a field analytical method based on immunoassay technology possesses the characteristics necessary to provide valid on-site data for petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated site assessment, remediation monitoring, and clean-up verification.

Ubiquitin-mediated destruction of regulatory proteins marks the vital means of controlling progression through the cell cycle. This mechanism involves the addition of ubiquitin molecules along a cascade of E1, E2 and E3 enzymes to target proteins,...

Eggermont, Jan, 1998: The exon-intron architecture of human chloride channel genes is not conserved. The human CLCN6 gene contains a 167 bp exon that is optionally included or excluded in CIC-6 mRNAs. The corresponding region (3.4 kbp) of the human CLCN7 gene has now been cloned and sequenced. A comparison of the human CLCN1, CLCN5, CLCN6 and CLC...

The leaves of 3-year-old apple trees under normal conditions in darkness gave off CO 2 through the stomata on the lower surface and through capillary pores in the cuticle of the upper surface. CO2 output by the upper leaf surface was 10 to 30% of...
