The use of seaweed meal in feeding common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.)

, : The use of seaweed meal in feeding common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.). Asian Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences 7(2): 183-189

In the first of two experiments, 4 diets containing 0, 5, 15 and 25% washed seaweed meal were prepared to study the effects of incorporating seaweed meal instead of equivalent amounts of berseem leaf meal in fish diets on growth and feed utilization of common carp. The results showed that average daily gain, specific growth rate, DM and ether extract of carcasses were decreased (P<0.05) with increasing level of seaweed meal in diets.
