, : The use of trout manure as a fertilizer for Idaho crops. National livestock, poultry and aquaculture waste management: proceedings of the national workshop, 29-31 July 1991, Kansas City, Missouri, USA: 198-205

Fish farm solids from four fish farms on the Snake river, Idaho, USA were characterized for metals and nutrients. Nutrients concentrations of fish manure varied between fish farms due to differences in fish feed and feeding systems, type of pond, collection system, and residence time in the pond. Compared to other manures, fish manure was generally higher in nitrogen and phosphorus and lower in potassium. It did not contain elevated levels of trace elements.
