The value of soybean meal as the only protein concentrate in broiler feeding

Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal 29(57): 40-49

The value of soybean meal as the only protein concentrate in broiler feeding

The effect of supplementing a diet based on ground yellow maize and autoclaved soyabean oilmeal with fish meal at 2, 4 or 7% on growth was studied in Arbor Acre broiler chickens to 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks old or throughout the finishing period. The level of fish meal added to the diet decreased with age. Fish meal at all the levels increased liveweight gain and feed conversion efficiency compared with the basal diet given alone.
