Transfer of tobacco mosaic virus resistance by asymmetric protoplast fusion

Transfer of tobacco mosaic virus resistance by asymmetric protoplast fusion

Progress in plant cellular and molecular biology: proceedings of the VIIth International congress on plant tissue and cell culture, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 24-29 June 1990: 293-298

The transfer of the N gene, which encodes the hypersensitive response to tobacco mosaic tobamovirus infection, to tobacco from Nicotiana repanda and N. glutinosa by asymmetric protoplast fusion is described.
