The reasons for the lack of any positive or negative interactive effects on herbicide efficacy between temp. and air humidity were investigated in field trials in Sweden using Oxitril 4 (3000 g/litre dichlorprop + 130 g MCPA + 58 g ioxynil + 38 g bromoxynil) for the control of dicotyledonous weeds in cereals. The favourable effect of high temp. on herbicide activity was counteracted by the vapour pressure deficit also being high.
